So during the month of September quite a bit happened. The first was on September 10th. We finally reunited with Nick after a long 7 weeks of him being in basic training. We hit the road Wednesday night the 8th with grandmommy and started our voyage to Great Lakes IL. Thank goodness I had a GPS, because that is a trip I never want to drive again. Emma did great! She slept just about any time the car started to move, and really only got fussy when she was hungry. We got there on Thursday and graduation was Friday. I will never forget the first time I saw Nick at graduation, and the look on his face when he held Emma. Unfortunately the weekend didn't last long, and it was back on the road for us. When we got back home I packed up the rest of the house except for things we needed daily.

HI DAD! |
Shortly after graduation Nick was in Goose Creek finding us a house on base, and it wasn't long before we had a date to move. My mom kept Emma and Susie and I drove down to SC to pick up Nick and bring him home for the first time since he left in July. It wasn't a long visit, we had to get a moving truck loaded in one day so that we could head back and get things unpacked, because he had to start school the following week. We had a get together the day before we left, and it was hard to say goodbye to everybody, but at the same time we were happy to be reunited as a family. We got to the house in Goose Creek and Adam and his brother came down to help Nick unload the truck. Before I knew it the empty house we were moving into was full of stuff to unpack. Emma adjusted well, and we were very happy to all be back together.
